My name is Rebecca and I am a PhD student at Ulster University. I am running a research study that is looking at how charities support family members after an adolescent or young adult (AYA) has been impacted by cancer. For this project, AYAs would be individuals diagnosed with cancer between the ages of 15-39 years old.  The project aims to understand and map the support services available across the island of Ireland for families after experiencing an AYA cancer diagnosis. To do this, we want to learn from staff and volunteers, who work with family members impacted by cancer. Your insights and experiences will help us understand how we can improve family-centred care across Ireland.

We are looking for charity staff and volunteers to participate in our research by doing a short questionnaire, and a 45-minute long interview. This interview can be done in person, online, or over the phone at a time that is convenient for you.

If you are interested in hearing more about the study or in participating in the research, please reach out to me!
