The Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology (CCRCB) at QUB is holding a public Open Day as part of the Northern Ireland Science Festival on Saturday 16th February 2019.

There will be talks from leading researchers and tours of the research laboratories.

You are also very welcome to visit our office.

A number of charities, including ourselves, will be present.

This is a free event.

Early Diagnosis is Key #CatchItEarly

Oesophageal cancer like many other cancers does not discriminate between age or sex and knowing and recognising the signs and symptoms are crucial to early diagnosis.  If you suffer from any of the following symptoms for longer than 3 weeks you should consult your doctor.

  • Persistent Indigestion
  • Difficulty swallowing or food sticking
  • Heartburn acid reflux
  • Hiccupping that wont go away
  • Unexplained weight loss.
