Our Trustee, Stewart Dickson MLA, recently submitted two questions to Health Minister Mike Nesbitt in relation to OG cancers here in Northern Ireland. The first was regarding current funding for oesophageal and gastric cancer prevention and the second was in relation to the number of dieticians currently employed in hospitals across Northern Ireland for patients diagnosed with oesophageal and gastric cancers.
The Health Minister has responded to both questions, his answers can be found below. The answers make for shocking reading.
We will be meeting with the Health Minister next month and these are just further issues which we will be addressing with him.

Early Diagnosis is Key #CatchItEarly

- Difficulty swallowing or food sticking
- Heartburn acid reflux
- Hiccupping that wont go away
- Unexplained weight loss.
